Summer Camp
Each summer Kids R Kids offers a fun filled, field trip packed summer camp with a unique theme each year. Summer 2009 is over now but please peruse our information below to gain insight into what a typical Kids R Kids Summer Camp is all about! Camp CaliberWhat do fantastic field trips to places like Jelly Beans, Ice Skating Rinks, Bowling, Soccer, Horseback riding, and on-site water park have to do with Summer? Kids 'R' Kids CAMP CALIBER is the answer! Oh the places we will go and the fun we will have! Get ready for a summer of fun while campers learn and strengthen positive character traits! A child with great character will go far in life but you won't want to miss out on Camp Caliber for more than just the fact that your child will learn deep and lasting character traits that will make for better young adults. You want your child to attend CAMP CALIBER for the FUN, FUN, FUN! After working so hard throughout the school year, your child deserves some fun in the sun! Week 1: Character Counts!—Learning the value of having a strong, positive character helps build strong, positive young people. (Camp Carnival, Jellybeans, Parks, Museum of History, Water Slide) Week 2: Operation Cooperation—Being able to work together is important! Teamwork and sportsmanship are needed in more areas than on the playing field! (Obstacle Course, Netsports, Movie day, Monkey Joe's, High Tech/High Touch) Week 3: Kids Who Care—Caring for others, yourself, and the environment makes our world a better place in which to live! (Kid Fit, Buffalo Lanes, Musket Demonstration, Picnic) Week 4: Counting on Courage—Having the courage to pursue dreams and take a stand enables young people to make a difference. (Fancy Feet, Airplane Cockpit Tour, Wii Bounce, Horse Back Riding, Club Day) Week 5: Acceptance in Action—Accepting the fact that we are not all alike opens the door to many friendships in our community. (Funtastic fitness, Adventure Landing, Movie, Nature Reserve, Water Games) Week 6: Honesty—The Best Policy—Practicing truthfulness leads to trustworthiness and integrity. (Club Day, Poe Health Center, Raleigh, Little Theater, Mordecai House, Bake Sale/Car Wash) Week 7: Patriotic Pride—Stressing patriotism and citizenship helps build stronger young people and a stronger country! (Obstacle Course, Craft Day, Cary Ice House, Wildlife Center, Scrap Exchange) Week 8: Pressing on With Perseverance—Being diligent and persevering can pay big dividends. (Waterpark, Marbles, News Paper Tour, Kalidoscope Theater, Midieval Ball) Week 9: Connect With Respect—Respecting others and yourself is vital for a healthy self-concept and inter-personal relationships. (Club Day, Radio Station, Tae Kwon Do, Park, END OF SUMMER PARTY!) Week 10: Kids With Character—Learning to be a responsible young person ends the summer on a high note!
